How to delete your account in the SharpPoint app by SharpPoint Corporation, with or without the app, and what happens to your information.
1. Delete it in the app
Open the SharpPoint app and sign in.
Go to Profile → Security & login and tap Delete account, at the bottom of the page.
Read what will happen, then enter your password — and your authenticator code or a recovery code, if you use two-factor sign-in.
Enter the 6-digit code we email you, type DELETE, and confirm.
Deleting covers your personal profile and every business profile under the same sign-in.
2. Delete it without the app
Email support@sharppointcorp.com from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will reply to confirm it is really you before we do anything — we reply within 30 days, usually much sooner — and then close your account. We never ask for your password.
3. What happens next
Straight away, your account closes: it can’t be used, no one can find or pay you, and you are signed out on every device. We email you the date it will be deleted.
For 30 days, you can change your mind: sign in to the app and choose Restore account. Forgotten your password? Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen to set a new one, then sign in. The 30 days are our own choice — no law sets them.
After 30 days, your account is deleted. This can’t be undone. You can then use the same email address to open a new account.
4. What we delete
We delete or erase the names and details on your profiles, your contact details and photos, your sign-in details (password, two-factor settings, sessions and devices), your linked wallet numbers and account names, your notifications, and your business’s catalogue, staff lists and saved recipients.
5. What we keep, and for how long
The Central Bank of Liberia sets how long payment providers must keep records. SharpPoint is not yet licensed, but we already follow these rules, so we keep:
Records of your payments and orders — for at least five years from the date of each payment, showing your name and SharpPoint ID as they were at the time. People you paid, or who paid you, keep their own record of those payments.
The identity details we verified — your name, date of birth, gender, county of origin, phone numbers, email addresses, business name and location, SharpPoint IDs, and linked wallet numbers and account names — sealed with encryption, for five years after your account is deleted. We then delete them.
We also keep security and audit records of activity on your account, including IP addresses and devices, for at least five years, to prevent fraud — that period is our own choice. We have not yet set a date after which payment, order and security records are deleted. All of this is used only for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention and security purposes. The Privacy Policy explains more.
6. Before you start
An account can’t be deleted while a payment or payout is still being processed, an order is still being agreed, one of your businesses has an order paid in the last 14 days that isn’t marked delivered, or one of your businesses still has team members — or for 24 hours after a password reset made without your authenticator code. A paid plan stops when your account is deleted and is not refunded.
